Your private getaway in the Finger Lakes

The Seyna Retreat offers one of the best private vacation homes in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Situated on a secluded 55-acre wooded estate, you will have time to reflect on the beauty of your natural surroundings and enjoy the solitude that the expansive property offers. Go for a peaceful walk in the woods. Unwind as you sit and meditate on the park benches along the many wandering paths. This is your invitation to take an extended respite from modern life and escape into your own private getaway.
A secluded paradise in Upstate NY
Begin your day with bird watching from the breakfast table or leisurely sip your morning coffee outside on the wraparound porch. Fire up the gas grill and have lunch at the picnic table on the porch to get the most out of your summertime stay. Make memories with the kids as you explore miles of hiking trails through fields and forests. Indulge in family-friendly activities like fishing off the wooden dock or play a game of bocce ball on the grassy lawn. Experience the exciting scavenger hunt by finding trail marker numbers to claim a prize from the locked pirate’s treasure chest!
As the sun sets behind the mountains and the stars begin to appear, share stories around the campfire overlooking the fishing pond as you relax in our Amish-built Adirondack chairs. Rainy days are still enjoyable at the Seyna Retreat because of our fun collection of board games and books for adults and children alike. Kick back in the hammock, sip some lemonade, and let your cares drift away. You have found the perfect oasis!

A short drive to Finger Lakes fun and flavor!
Seyna Retreat is a short, scenic drive to some of the most popular vineyards in the eastern Finger Lakes region. While you’re here, you can take an easy day trip to experience the beautiful vineyards in nearby surrounding areas near Canandaigua, Keuka, or Seneca Lake.
After a ten-minute drive to old-world-style Naples, you can enjoy samples from local wineries including Hazlitt’s Red Cat Cellars, Arbor Hill Grapery & Winery, and Inspire Moore Winery & Vineyard that are featured on the Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail. If you’re visiting in September, be sure to check out the Historic Naples Grape Festival. In the summer, a great place to take the whole family is Grimes Glen—but make sure you take comfortable waterproof hiking shoes for the trail is mostly creek bed! On your way home, stop at Cindy’s Pies or Monica’s Pies and pick up a fresh pie made from local grapes. Delicious!

Directly east is the Keuka Lake Wine Trail featuring the following wineries:
Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in Hammondsport (30 minutes)
Bully Hill Vineyards (north of Hammondsport, about a 50 minute drive)
Three Brother Wineries & Estates in Penn Yan (just over an hour)
Fox Run Vineyards in Penn Yan (just under an hour)
Keuka Spring Vineyards (about 1 hour 15 minutes)
Further east is the Seneca Lake Wine Trail featuring these wineries:
Lakewood Vineyards, near Watkins Glen (50 minutes)
Barnstormer Winery north of Watkins Glen
Heron Hill Tasting Room on Seneca Lake is just under an hour’s drive
Zugibe Vineyards in Geneva, near the northeastern end of Seneca Lake, just over an hour’s drive

Magnificent State Parks less than an hour away
A mere thirty-minute westward drive will lead you to award-winning Letchworth State Park, known as the “Grand Canyon of the East.” This 14, 350 acre park features three impressive waterfalls and captivating natural beauty in all seasons. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy an unforgettable day trip!
No trip to the Finger Lakes would be complete without seeing the incredible canyon views at Watkins Glen. Only an hour’s drive away, you can explore the magnificent trails along this ancient gorge that has been carved out over the centuries. It is truly a masterpiece of nature! Watkins Glen won 3rd place in the USA Todays reader’s choice poll for best state parks in the United States out of over 6000 state parks.
